St. Ambrose Manor provides an independent living environment for senior adults and the mobility impaired. In addition to the on-site Manager available seven days a week, St. Ambrose has a Service Coordinator who can help residents take advantage of important local, state and federal programs available to them.
Among the programs and services available at St. Ambrose Manor, some for a fee, are:
- Meals-on-Wheels, Food Bank visits, free weekly grocery trips.
- Assistance with Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid programs
- Cleaning and laundry services
- Personal aides
- Banking Services
- Transportation, including wheelchair-accessible vans
St. Ambrose is regularly visited by entertainment groups, such as the Duquesne University choral singers, and also offers a wide variety of programs and events on a weekly basis. These include
- Wii Bowling
- Card Games
- Aerobic Exercise
- Rosary Prayer Service, most weekdays

St. Ambrose Manor is certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as approved housing for adults over the age of 62 or the mobility impaired. All rent, including utilities, is subsidized based on income.
